UNET is a social network designed to bring people more convenient, easy to understand and functional communication and information exchange tools.
Webtop
Webtop is the control center that has the familiar look of an operating system. You can communicate, read news, play games, store files, work with documents and use numerous other apps within Webtop. It is your private area, and you are the only one who can access Webtop.
Applications
Applications, or apps, are like programs in operating systems. With Unet, you can simultaneously use several apps, each launched in a separate Webtop window. You can chat with your friends in one window, edit a document in another, and play a game in a third one.
Profile
Profile is the public area of your account that can be used to publish all sorts of information: news, ideas, thoughts, video, music, etc. Your profile has its own URL, by which it can be accessed online, for example, name.unet.net, and it may serve as your online business card.
Contacts
Instead of using the word "Friends", which has experienced a semantic transformation over the last several years, Unet uses a more accurate term – Contacts. Contacts can be sorted by groups, of which Friends is one. You can create groups yourself. You can also assign uniques access rights to your Profile information for each group.
Privacy and Security
At Unet, we take great care to maintain privacy and security of your information. You can regulate privacy settings for every type of personal information you enter (name, address, photo, your school, etc.). This way you can make your profile picture visible only to your contacts, while everybody else will see your avatar. You can choose who can tag you in photos, view your entries, vote in your polls, see your gifts, etc.
Ease and Convenience
Few of the popular social networks can be called easy-to-use and modern. We aim to move the technologies forward and set a new quality standard for others to follow. As such, we do our best to make Unet functional, intuitive, and easy-to-use.
